Listening to: Vivaldi

Snow: Lots

Books: Slan by A.E. Van Vogt, The Web and The Rock by Thomas Wolfe.

Tremendous cold outside and I don't want to do anything at all. Bears have got it easy, and I wish I was one. Watching Kennedy and O'Neill slam Bush warms me up some, though. Republicans used to be the good guys, did you know? Lincoln was one, and he freed the slaves...

Gotta go now, just thought I'd drop in and say "Hi". Ya'll play nice now, ya hear?

The new year. Let's hope our soldiers will return home soon, and the killing will end. God bless them and keep them safe, and God bless the people of Iraq; it's not their fault they were born poorer than us, in fact, it's not a fault at all.

Wanna know what I've been up to the past month? Mostly reading classic novels until very late at night, and sometimes drinking 24 oz. cans of Milwaukee's Best Ice. I'm also waiting for the river to freeze over so I can go slid on it. Had a marathon DVD session the other night. I watched the extended versions of both Lord of the Ring movies and then some Star Trek ones as well. This went on and on all night long...

Listening to: Jimi Hendrix: The Ultimate Experience.

Hey Joe, where ya goin' with that gun in your hand?

And yes, I've been reading the journals of some of my friends, and I can tell I missed out on a lot of stuff over the holidays. Yea, boy! I headed over to The New Absurdist and caught up on some of the forum stuff, and read a couple of stories. Place is getting crowded, and to tell you the truth, I've not been favorably impressed with the stories I've been reading over there. I posted one of my own that I wrote over the holidays. Is it any better than what's over there? You be the judge.

Yes, and my birthday is coming up on February the First. What do I want? Perry knows...

Who is this man?

It's Vladimir Lenin. He doesn't look too happy, does he? He's one of the men responsible for millions of Russians dying in the Gulags. A chilling thought. Makes me glad I live in America despite it's obvious drawbacks.

I've been reading a lot of reports from Columbus, Ohio about the new sniper they have down there, seems a lot like the D.C. sniper except only one person has been killed so far. Columbus is where I lived for a long time and I was down there just last month. I hope they catch this guy soon and jail his copycat ass.

Music:
Frank Zappa's Hot Rats
Words:
I was practically forced to read the first of the Harry Potter books (p.s. no comment.)
Beer:
Milwaukee's Best Ice in the 24 oz. can. A great bargain.
online:
Coding, coding, coding new pages for the new site.
Media:
Saw Brittany sing her new song on SNL. Maybe she can't sing, but she dances real good.

Rain then snow. I am staying warm with 20 oz. cans of Milwaukee's Best Ice, which is strong and good tasting. On the way in today we saw a flock of Canadian geese heading south, but strangely they were all hag-ridden by RATS! A very savage life up here in the far north...

The rain is gone. The air is cold and sharp and the sun out and it's very bright. It is deer season now and a lot of people around here are thinking it's a good day to kill some deer.
Not me. Not into it. Could go for the drinking many cans of beer part of it, though.

Run, deer, run!

Bla de bla bla. I was outside smoking a cigarette this morning when I heard my neighbor down in the valley talking to someone or something. "Get out of here!" she shouted. Then she must have gone to get one of her many guns, because the next thing I heard was the "POP" of a discharged weapon. Probably whatever it was is dead now. Since I met her almost two years ago, she has confessed to killing raccoons, squirrels, groundhogs, etc. Not to mention her yearly trips to Colorado to kill an Elk. An Elk license costs several hundred dollars.

Fun with guns!
